Yes, Spenser Studies is always happy to publish such things in
"Gleanings." True, Sidney Journal has a better moral claim. But we are all
one big happy family, I am told. And how clever of Carol to notice the
"juvat meminisse." (My mother used to quote it to me when I was a glum
teenager. Some mothers are showoffs, I guess.). Anyway, I wish Gavin would
indeed publish this note in some relevant journal--preferably mine (or,
rather, Tom's Bill's and mine).
