results can be found on web site WWW.apstherapy.net
The full testing proceedure can also be found on the above web site.
I would be very gratfull for your comments on the testing and design of the

*** It was interesting to note that the studies concerned did not compare the
performance of APS stimulators with several other popular TENS and similar ES
devices. Nor did the studies show that the specific 'action potential
waveform' for a single nerve discharge is superior in its claimed
applications to other waveforms - unless I missed something.
There is similar work supporting the clinical efficacy of various microcurrent
devices (such as the Myopulse and ElectroAcuscope), so it would be
interesting to compare the APS system with these two devices, as well as some
variable TENS devices, such as those mentioned by other readers.
That web site continually refers to APS mimicking the body's natural nerve
impulses and modulating the plasma levels of endogenous opioids, but fail to
mention that many nerves summate during cybernetic (control and
communication) processes in the body and do not exhibit the mystical action
potential waveform associated with single celled responses. Even then, the
waveforms of all nerves are not identical, but have variable characteristics,
so how can a very rigidly controlled electronic waveform accommodate to take
such variation into account.
In summary, the APS research has not demonstrated that:
1. APS devices are therapeutically equal to or superior to existing similar
physio devices
2. The action potential waveform is therapeutically equal to or superior to
other waveforms
Has anyone come across peer-reviewed research which addresses these two
issues?
