UK QUALITY INDICATOR PROJECT
Commencing salary up to stlg19,869 pa
We are seeking a person to support the further development and
expansion of the innovative national UK Quality Indicator Project.
You will support participants in gaining maximum benefit from the UK
QIP (a regional office of the Center for Performance Sciences (CPS)
and Maryland Hospital Association Quality Indicator Project - MHA
QIP), including training, education, data analysis and feedback. The
post-holder will also promote the UK QIP to potential participants.
Based in the Department of Epidemiology & Public Health, you will work
with and provide support to the project co-ordinator and project
director, Professor Richard Thomson, who will provide overall
supervision. Further general information about the project is

You will have: experience of the NHS and/or use of indicators,
preferably with an emphasis on quality indicators, and/or experience
of clinical audit/quality in the NHS; good oral and written
presentation and communication skills; a science or social science
degree; computing skills, including word processing, database,
graphics and Internet use; and a clean driving licence and the ability
to travel regularly throughout the UK. Desirable, but not essential,
characteristics include: a nursing or similar clinical qualification;
clinical experience particularly, but not necessarily, in mental
health; and educational/teaching experience and/or qualification.
