FINAL CALL FOR PAPERS
RGS-IBG PLYMOUTH 2000
NATURE, LEISURE AND EVERYDAY GEOGRAPHIES
Convenors: Andrew Church and David Crouch
This module seeks to examine how the encounters, knowledges, practices,
meanings and everyday geographies associated with leisure affect the
production, consumption, representation and non-representation of nature.
Papers may explore 'domestic' and/or 'non-domestic' leisure environments and
will challenge urban/rural categorisations of leisure activities. The
module will hopefully contain examples from different cultures and nations
of the interactions between spatiality, leisure and notions of nature.
If you would like a paper to be considered for presentation please send or
email a 250 word abstract by July 28 2000 to one of the organisers.
