I hope this does not add to the confusion, but there is another ref. to not a
psalm magnificat, but to an Antiphon Magnificat that you might find of
interest. It is an antiphon that immediately precedes the magnificat that
I've found in the Beaupre Antiphonary (dated 1270) in the Vita of St.
Cecilia. The text, referred to as Ant. (Mag) beings with: Virgo gloriosa*
semper Evangelium Christi gerebat...etc. This glorious virgin* always
carried the Gospel of Christ, etc. The Latin text and trans. are found in The
Hours of the Divine Office in Eng. and Latin, the Liturgical Press,
