the Obituaries (Necrologies) of the cathedral are especially rich in notices
of all sorts of patrons of the church, royal and otherwise, and are, of
course, themselves liturgical books of a sort.
They --and the other surviving obituaries from the diocese-- were edited circa
1900 by Auguste Molinier as part of a series published under the auspices of
the Academie des Inscriptions/Recueil des Historiens de la France (sorry, i
can't seem to find the exact reference and don't have my indispensible van der
Meulen [_Chartres : sources and literary interpretation: a critical
bibliography_, 1989] to hand).
