All for access

Re: customer enquiry.
memo Dear Mr Armstrong,
Thank you for your e-mail which has been forwarded to me from Norman Mackenzie. I appreciate your concern and would like to take this opportunity to reply to you on this matter.
I have discussed your comments with Sarah Callaghan, manager of our Camden Store. The information that you received from a member of her staff was not entirely correct and I would like to apologise to you for that; this branch does not have a disability section. However, the branch does stock books addressing issues of disability within each subject section.
We do appreciate that it is important for all our customers to be able to comfortably access 'all' the books that are in stock. I understand your frustration at being prevented access to those books on the ground and 1st floor because the branch is not provided with a lift. Waterstone's is making every effort to comply with the Disability Discrimination Act regarding access in all our new branches. Those branches opened prior to this Act are now part of an on going program which will see that access is provided for all customers and this is taking place as each branch receives it's re-fit.
Of course this will not happen over night and I am sorry that my reply to you does not provide you with the immediate action you would like to see take place. Should you wish to discuss this matter further our Property Maintenance Manager, Steve Farr would be pleased to do so.
Once again, I would like to thank you raising this matter with us.
Yours sincerely,
Daiana Docherty, Customer Services Manager.
