Hi Lam
My opinion is the following.
Each profession has it's specialised knowledge. So some of the wheelchair
training items are better known by the one or the other. Occupational
therapists might have better knowledge in how to adapt the whellchair itself
and what kind of materials are available. While the relations between for
example neurological symptoms, like spasticity, ataxia, and postureal
questions, as well als physiological aspects of training should be in the
field of physiotherapists as well.
For each professional there is a little different wise to treat that matter.
So I think both can bring in their knowledge.
We collaborate (as physical therapy school) together with the paraplegic
center in Nottwil where even specialized sporttherapists are responsable for
that subject.
So I think it is useful if both are collaborationg together and are also
feel responsable.
(Sorry my poor english, but I hope you understand what I'm triying to write)
