Due to a crash of an old computer and to messy backups, I seem to have
lost a few precious messages from this mailing list.
In particular, I miss one from Dave Sackett telling how the name of
"evidence-based medicine" first came out and how it could have been (or
it would possibly evolve in) "patient-based medicine".
If I remember correctly, the story was part of a thread on the ownership
of the name "EBM", as someone was suggesting to change it in something
like "evidence-based healthcare"
I searched in the mailbase archives at www.mailbase.ac.uk without
success (the archives seem to begin in 1998 - maybe the message was
written previously).
Anyone can help?
thanks,
