There is extensive research on the beneficial aspects of intake of
carbohydrate particularly during endurance exercise. However, if this
percentage is too high prior to the onset of exercise you can induce a
insulin response. Gastric emptying and intestinal absorption has been shown
to be limited when carbohydrate is above 8%
There are some good product on the market its just a case of hunting the
right ones out.
