Again, a few points. There is no 'Eden' in the Vulgate. Genesis 1:8
"plantaverat autem Dominus Deus paradisum voluptatis a principio"
Literally,
"And God had planted a Paradise of Pleasure from the beginning"
Cf KJV:
"And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden."
or again Genesis 1:10
"Et fluvius egrediebatur de loco voluptatis ad inrigandum paradisum"
literally "And a river went out of the place of pleasure to irrigate
the paradise"
Cf. KJV:
"And a river went out of Eden to water the garden."
A different vision, I feel.
