Seeking a new position must be approached in a systematic and completely
thorough manner in order to succeed. You need to ensure that you have
thought of and prepared for every eventuality - the day of the 45 minute
interview is increasingly rare.
This enjoyable and highly participative workshop takes you through each
stage of the process enabling you to market yourself effectively. It starts
with exercises that enable you to review your career so far, analysing your
strengths and weaknesses. Where to look for a job, using networks of
contacts and making speculative approaches for employment will also be
covered.
By the end of the day you will have:
* discovered how to write a winning CV and application form
* analysed job advertisements and job descriptions to find out what
the employer is looking for
* learnt how to prepare for an interview and tackle tough interview
questions
* studied the questions you should be asking and how you can seek to
control the interview
* looked at how to prepare for that unexpected presentation
