For those who wish to keep track of the media's interest in the subject,
take a look at today's 'The Independent', 'The Monday Review' part, the
'Network' section, p.11, and the article entitled "Keeping secrets off the
map : it's an open-access medium, so what do online atlases conceal?" by
Severin Carrell. Keywords include secrecy (so perhaps I should write no
more), defence establishments, Ordnance Survey, digital data, a certain
commercial company, and on-line cartographic data. Oh... and to
demonstrate how some journalists know their scale from their salaries,
