I am interested in methods of restraining / controlling domestic
animals and, particularly, whether any evidence of this has been
detected in the archaeological record Does anyone know of any
references, either in archaeology or ethnography, to devices such as
hobbles, tethers, blinkers etc. etc which might have been used for
restraining animals???
I am interested in this from the perspective of artifact evidence
as well as in the animal husbandry / human behaviour aspects.
Thanks,
Jennifer
