Can I ask you to send out to list members a reminder about the
following seminar? The last reminder about the last seminar
(Enhancing Teaching and Learning) provoked a large response. Many
thanks.
Preparing for ILT accreditation
Friday 18 February 2000
Location: University of Greenwich, Maritime Site
What is ILT? Should you apply for accreditation? If so, how do
you go about it? Come to this one-day session to find out.
This seminar will prepare those working in Higher Education for ILT
(Institute for Learning and Teaching) accreditation. Both experienced
lecturers and those who are relatively new to working in HE will
benefit from learning about the requirements for accreditation. Those
with staff development responsibilities will also find it useful. You
will gain practical advice on preparing and presenting your
application and, where appropriate, on how to assemble a portfolio of
evidence. The tutor is an ILT accreditor and a teacher trainer.
You will learn to
- recognise the requirements of ILT
- reflect on your teaching experience
- prepare a written application
- assemble and collate a portfolio of evidence, if appropriate
For further details and to book a place, please phone Arnie Rush on
