Both physical and economic risks in the workplace continue to rise. A
beginning solution is a more meticulous screening of new job applicants. We
have developed two pertinent tests designed for inclusion in the interview
process. They are also meant as aids in evaluating existing employees who
seem to need attention. The first is a set of "rule-out" questions for an
immediate identification of a potential hire who may mean trouble or lack of
performance. The second is a drug-abuse questionnaire with tough questions to
be asked in eye-to-eye contact. Other than a urine test, we know of no other
questionnaire as effective. Third, we have checklists for secret child abuse
and unrecognized domestic violence. Review copies of these are available FREE
to employers and academic personnel via email request: [log in to unmask]
