Dear group,
I am new to SPM, and using SPM99, final release (on a PC). I am trying to
create a reference MRI on which to display functional images. This
particular image is not related to any functional images in the study (does
it need to be??). I would, therefore, like to spatially normalize this
image (a T1 weighted MRI). The MRI began in GE format, but seems to have
translated nicely into Analyze format by using Matlab code provided by
Souheil Inati, and I am able to display the image in SPM.
At this point I get stuck. It seems as if the Normalize procedure wants a
*.mat file from which it gets spatial parameters (per the help file). As I
understand it, these come from either the Re-alignment or Co-register
procedures. However, I can't seem to get those to successfully process the
single image (using either re-slice only, or by making a copy of the MRI
file and trying to spatially re-align the two files).
Can anybody help me with this? How does one spatially normalize a single
T1 weighted image for use as a standard display?
