If folks want to throw me off the list, so be it. They should know,
however, that I was run off a list devoted to scientific racism and
Darwinian social views - too 'wet' for them, it seems. On the other hand,
on this forum, I get to be persona non grata for merely suggesting that
heredity may play some role in social problems - the local dogma is pure
environmental determinism. I don't much give a damn if I get kicked off
this list or not, because it's already evident that a balanced, rational
discussion is impossible here. I guess I was right that "rad-stats" means
"orthodox-left-stats."
To those bankrupt spouters of sociological ciphers such as "essentialism" I
say this: A couple more decades of cognitive neuroscience will demolish
what little remains of your position. The time is coming when social
science uninformed by biology will impress no one. The 1990s were the
"Decade of the Brain"; the twenty-first century will be the century of the
brain. If you have any vision, start thinking about what a convergence
between liberal social science and biology might look like.
