David Klein asked what biases I thought black victims of muggings might have
in reporting the ethnicity of their assailants.
The obvious answer is "the same as white victims"; part of the point about
dominant ideologies is that they are believed by (at least some of) the very
people whose interests they work against.
Thus workers believe that poverty is the result of fecklessness, black
people overestimate the likelihood of blacks committing (certain types of?)
crimes, pregnant Catholic teenagers believe that abortion is a sin against
god, etc. (etc., etc., etc.)
