Dear Radstats
I work for a charity that is set up to promote positive relations between
fathers (and father figures) and their children, from a children's rather
than fathers' rights perspective. It is called Fathers Direct (see
attached). I would welcome advice and info on the following:
1. Any stat info on the impact of involved fathers on health or
developmental outcomes for children or other family members (including
fathers themselves). This will feed in to a major conference we are
organising with NCB on 25.1.01 mainly around the theme of the impact of
fathers on children's health, and how to support fathers to take on that
role more effectively.
2. Any info on the numbers of men working in early years and family support
settings, and how this is changing over time.
3. Advice on how to access info on fathers' behaviour in relation to their
children (including time spent with them etc), and attitudes of fathers,
other family members, and others, towards fathers. We would like to develop
a database of info on this subject.
PLEASE NOTE - ADDRESS ALL REPLIES TO RADSTATS BY ALL MEANS, BUT COPY TO
[log in to unmask], WHICH IS MY NEW EMAIL ADDRESS.
THANKS
DAVID
