I am writing to introduce myself as secretary of the National Statistics
Labour Market Theme Working Group and to inform you that the Theme Working
Group is currently drawing up a workplan for labour market statistics from
2001-2004. In order to ensure that future labour market statistics meet
users' needs a consultation exercise is now underway. The Theme Working
Group would welcome your comments.
The consultation document is available on the National Statistics
Website - http://www.statistics.gov.uk (click on 'themes' then 'labour
market' then 'your views'*) and there is an e-mail comment facility to
feed comments in to the workplan editor. The deadline for comments in
6th October.
Additionally, in the same 'your views' area of the Website there is a
registration facility which you may like to complete. This will ensure
that you are notified automatically when future consultation documents
about the Labour Market theme are placed onto the Website. If you wish,
you may also choose to receive news about National Statistics products and
services.
Please let me know if you have any questions on the above.
