There seems to have been an outbreak of personal conversations on the list.
Please desist!
The only point of coherence I picked up was someone who felt they were
insulted because their message was described as convoluted. That seemed to
be a bit oversensitive to me.
I was reminded of a magnificent description somewhere in Shakespeare of how
quarrels or punch-ups start. It described the process of escalation with
great precision and generality. So I tried to do a research of a
Shakespeare CD-ROM I have. I searched for 'temper', 'quick', and 'honour'
because these are the kinds of words that I think were used. But my search
did not succeed.
Does any one know the Shakespearian quote I was seeking? If it seems
relevant to what sometimes happens on lists, please post it to the list.
But if not please post it to me.
