I agree.
I apologise that I have only read about one message in this debate which was suggesting suspending people who over used the service. A point which I disagreed with.
However I did see one other message from Mr Klein which did not seem to be in keeping with the purpose of this list. Therefore since Mr Klein does not seem to be using the list for its proper purpose, I would fully support his removal (probably with a message from the list administrator to mailbase explaining our action).
I would be clear that Mr Klein is being removed because of what he says and how he says it. Not because he does not comply with some bureaucratic technicalities. He appears to be acting outside the scope for which this partially academic list was set up.

Much thanks to David Gordon for his elegant summary of this topic.
I urge colleagues on the list who have responded to David Klein's "free speech" defence to read and consider David Gordon's distinction between incorrect or even ignorant scientific arguments which can. and probably should, be rebutted (though not necessarily interminably on this list) and the (extremely crude) racist comments (no matter with the common veneer of scientism) which the list does not have to tolerate at all.
I was originally agnostic but have found the discussion clarifying - I agree entirely with the proposition that this list should cease to provide a platform for racism and thus with the proposal for Klein's removal.
