New list: Use of Numeric Data in Learning & Teaching
If this topic interests you, we invite you to join a new open forum
Mailbase list set up to air discussion on issues related to the use of
numeric data in learning & teaching in UK higher education.
This list is for teachers, national data centre site representatives,
and any other academic staff, support staff or students concerned with
promoting or using data as an educational resource. Join the forum and
contribute your ideas, questions, problems, and success stories!
To sign on to the forum, either:
send a message to [log in to unmask]
with this message:
join datateach firstname lastname
Or, go to the list web page at
http://www.mailbase.ac.uk/lists/datateach/
and click on Join. Be sure to use your actual email address,
not an alias, or you may not be able to post messages.
The forum has been created as an initiative of a JISC-funded project.
Project partners are representatives of the British Library of
Political and Economic Science, the Data Archive, EDINA, Edinburgh
University Data Library, and MIMAS. A Task Force made up of
experienced academic teachers and researchers, and local support staff
from universities around the country participates on the project as
well. For more information on the project see
http://datalib.ed.ac.uk/projects/datateach.html
Now the project needs you--the teachers, data users and local
supporters, to begin a broad-based discussion on specific and general
issues to inform our work and to carry on beyond the life of the
project. Please join us today.
