Er... sorry about that.
I was mulling on a couple of rather underrated Australian poets, John A.
Scott (whose book of three narrative poems St Clare is one of the more
amazing books of poetry in the past decade or so) and John Anderson,
whose Selected Poems is being published electronically by Thylazine,
courtesy Coral Hull. But somehow the message went awol.
Both are a cut above the ordinary, and both scarcely figure in discourse
about contemporary Australian poetry. Apart from this, and the fact that
they are both called John, they have almost nothing in common.
Any comments?
Cheers
Alison
