The concept of knowledge building, through networked collaboration is one
which is increasingly relevant in a competitive professional context.
We are working on a virtual learning environment (studiospace) for artists and designers
that supports this kind of collaboration within the wider academic and professional community
through a range of web-based tools, supported by a set of linked databases(knowledgebase)
The tools are in three main areas -
1-collaboration, whether this is dialogue or collaborative design on whiteboards
2-re-usable, inter-operable course and resource generation and dissemination
3-integrated tools to support course management and lifelong learning
The vle will be accessible on-line this month for evalon in different contexts,
and the report evaluatin it is being drafted now for December.
