Paul's critique of the NYT article is valid. I passed it
along because it is interesting and symptomatic -- and
because it identifies and articulates some of the themes
that affect design discourse today.
On the ad content, though, I didn't see a great problem.
Since I used NYT content free of charge, I felt it fair
to pass it on as they send it.
There is, to be sure, a relationship between ad content
and editorial in NYT and many of the other major news
dailies.
