ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR

Position in the Department of Recreation and Leisure Studies beginning
September 2001. Responsibilities include instruction of professional core
courses with a primary responsibility in outdoor adventure programming. The
ideal candidate should possess active certification in one or more of the
following areas: rock climbing, mountaineering, ice climbing, whitewater
canoeing/kayaking, and/or Wilderness First Aid. Candidates should also have
the ability to teach courses addressing the therapeutic application of
adventure recreation and have a willingness to teach in the
interdisciplinary general education program. Active professional scholarship
is a necessity. Participation on college committees and academic advising
required. QUALIFICATIONS: an earned Doctorate; ABD considered with at
least one academic degree in Recreation/Leisure Studies. SALARY:
Commensurate with the academic preparation and the demonstrated experience
