We have one project relevant to this
The 'Objects of Desire' project aimed to allow visitors to all our museums to
nominate their favourite objects from display and in store (special open day
store visits were organised for this). They were invited to say why they had
chosen the objects and details were recorded using Modes for Windows and
subsequently merged with the relevant Modes catalogue records. The most
popular items were incorporated into a special exhibition which is currently
exhibiting at each of the TWM museums/galleries in turn. Modes was used to
generate the exhibition labels incorporating the comments as to why the items
had been chosen.

>examples of museums that have given people access to collections
>information to enable checking of information, and examples (if there are

>collections information databases themselves. Public 'curation' of online
