Hi Karen
We've done several upgrades via FTP with no problems. However, I did the
latest (to Release 2000C) two weeks ago and did have a slight problem - the
recovery tape was prepared OK but after the next message - "Loading main
software update via FTP" - I got another message saying "Failed to connect
via FTP.............Failed in INNOPAC update". I phoned Helpdesk and got
them to check our system - they di so, and said it had probably been a
network problem and just to try again - which I did and everything went OK.
I timed doing the upgrade at 5pm when we were closed so that there would
be a specialist on call in the USA rather than just a Helpdesk person and
so that I could do the reboot at the end of the upgrade without disruption.
Good Luck!
