I too have recently discovered the same problem on my PC at home.
I believe that the "validation" in the message refers to the security
around viewing patron records, not to expiry -i.,e. it is just saying it
won't let you see it, not that there is a problem with the record.
I also suspect that the problem is browser and/or ISP specific, and is
to do with cookies, but more than that I don't at present know. I
thought I would share this much since so many people know of it but
nothing more. I hope somebody else has the complete story, but if
not it is certainly something Leeds needs to follow up.
