Many thanks to all of you, both on-list and off, who were
kind enough to send me suggestions for the course I'm
writing on photography and cinema. Even though this is my
own favourite subject, it's still very hard to programme
for. I've put a fairly final selection below, for the eight
week screening/reading programme, if anyone's interested.
It's just a taster of the course outline, there's a whole
bunch of secondary reading that will make it into the
recommended reading list, including the recent Garrett
Stewart book. (And never fear, I'm going to try to get
some Deleuze in there too) Some suggested films and
readings I already had in mind, but otherwise, you'll know
which ones you suggested.
If anyone's still got any ideas for reading and/or films,
keep 'em comin'.
Also, if this subject interests anyone, you might like to
know about an email list for interdisciplinary discussion
of cinema and photography, that I moderate. You can
find details at:

I'll stop plugging it now, lest this moderator takes
offence.
Thanks again.
Damian
