Dear All
This is a message about some changes to the env-ed-research mailing list
which will take place this weekend. From Monday 27 November, this list
will no longer be hosted by the Mailbase service, but will be
transferred to a new organisation JISCmail.
The following website contains background information about the transfer
to JISCmail and about using the mailing lists hosted there:
http://www.jiscmail.ac.uk
As a member of the env-ed-research list you need TAKE NO IMMEDIATE
ACTION, as messages and commands sent to the existing env-ed-research
e-mail address will be intercepted at Mailbase and passed on to JISCmail
for a time. However the consequences of the transfer of the
env-ed-research list are that, although the list name is still
"env-ed-research", the contact addresses will change. It would be good
to start using these from 27 November to avoid confusion.
To send a message to the list, use:

To contact the list owner (i.e. me)
[log in to unmask]
user/membership commands go to:
[log in to unmask]
For further guidance see:
http://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/docs/user-tips.htm
NB: If you use e-mail filters you will need to alter them (there is
guidance on the JISCmail website and your email program). Any of you
who have made references to the env-ed-research list on a website will
also need to alter the URL links so that they read:
http://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/lists/env-ed-research.html
Please remember that your membership details and options will be
transferred automatically, and I will be reviewing the list next week to
check that everything works properly following the transfer.
Best wishes
Alan Reid
