I'm back from the vetinary and very much agree with Geraldine's posting today
in reply to Alison. She puts it pretty bluntly:

I agree not because i have evidence - like her I just have a sense of it -
but because, exactly as she says, "I'm perfectly easy taking it for what it
is, a self-created mythologising, but I'm not easy at taking it for what it
isn't i.e, a gesture of personal self-effacement". Yes, i know there is a
kind of wordless or gestural political discourse going on with Prynne's
>praxis< - there Prynne Prynne Prynne Prynne Prynne - , as there is with
others I have a lot of respect for, but let's cut the bullshit that goes with
it, that ultimately brings that hidden discourse into sideshow and disrepute.
