Dear all - the University of Warwick's Writing Programme is shortly to set
up an International Centre for Contemporary Writing. The centre will develop
new projects in contemporary writing and the study of creativity and
authorship, while building on existing work in and collaborations between
the partner institutions through staff exchanges, conferences, and annual
summer schools. Its aims are still fluid and so my questions are: what
would you like to see such a centre doing and in what ways can we
collaborate? If any of you want to take this up, please keep the focus
principally on poets and poetry, less so on theorists and theories of poetry
(not because of any inbuilt prejudice, but simply for the sake of the centre's
likely focus on writers *writing*)
Many thanks,
David.
