>To administer the MDU's inactive records stored off-site.

> 12,000 boxes stored Off-site.
> 150 requests per week for files stored Off-site.
> 250 boxes per annum sent to Off-site storage.

>Key Accountabilities
> Files retrieved as per service agreement with Offsite Storage Company.
> Assist in the preparation and implementation of a Retention Policy for the
> MDU.
> Develop procedures for the efficient management of inactive records stored
> Off-site.
> Produce regular reports of file movements and overdues.
> Check invoices for payment and intake sheets.
> General information management duties as required.

>Job Context
> * Most of your day will be spent ordering and returning inactive records
> from/to Offsite storage.
> * The MDU uses a file tracking system which you will update each day and
> use to produce reports. (Training will be provided)
> * The post holder will identify and catalogue inactive files. Also
> supervise the reduction of the amount of inactive records in line with
> agreed policies.
> * The job involves lifting boxes and files so you must be physically fit.
> * The post holder must be able to deal with people at all levels for
> internal and external contacts.
> * Able to work under pressure and prioritise tasks.
> * Must have initiative and be able to work unsupervised or as part of a
> team.
> * Good written and oral skills are essential.
> * IT Literate.
> * 1-2 years experience in records management is desirable but not
> essential.
