RESEARCH FELLOW IN MEDICAL STATISTICS
Applications are invited for a medical statistician to expand our
Statistical Support Service, which advises researchers on a wide
range of statistical issues. The post holder will have
responsibilities in statistical research, support, collaboration and
teaching throughout the Institute of Child Health and Great Ormond
Street Hospital for Sick Children (two linked institutions).
Applicants should have at least two years relevant applied statistics
experience following their first degree, ideally with an MSc in
medical statistics. The post is based in the Institute's Department
of Paediatric Epidemiology and Biostatistics, which has several other
statisticians and its own active research programme.
The successful candidate should have some experience in statistical
consulting and explaining statistical concepts to medical colleagues.
Good communication skills, patience, enthusiasm and an interest in
child health are important requirements.
Salary will be Research 1A scale, £22,599-£27,347 p.a. including
London weighting.
