The position:
The candidate will manage, conduct and report on epidemiologic research projects on adverse
event-related indications within the Safety Risk Management Department for both pre- and
post-marketed products. Provide information on incidence and prevalence, natural history and
treatments for these indications. Identify, evaluate and acquire routine population databases
that can be utilized for epidemiologic research. Identify and collaborate with groups providing epidemiologic data from large automated healthcare databases. She/He will assist with writing of
reports submitted for both internal reviews and for regulatory authorities. Provide ad-hoc input to activities within the organization.
Who you are:
Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Epidemiology or Biostatistics or a medical degree with a
Master's degree in epidemiology, biostatistics or other public health sciences, and 5 years
of epidemiologic research experience. Pharmaceutical industry experience is desired as well
as some experience in using statistical software such as SAS or STATA. Applicant should possess
good communication skills both written and verbal; ability to manage multiple projects; ability to
meet deadlines under pressure and work in an international team environment.
