Have you considered using the Sarstedt system?
We changed to Sarstedt about 5 years ago and have had
no problems whatsoever with their plastic tubes.
The vacuum in the tubes is created just prior to
using them by pulling a plunger.
Attachments are available for giving injections into
the same needle after blood has been drawn, useful for
TRH and Synacthen tests.
The Sarstedt system has been a great success here.
