For those who are interested in clinical practice guidelines and/or
evidence-based medicine and/or evaluation and comparison of diagnostic
tests, there is some useful stuff at
http://www.health.gov.au/nhmrc/publicat/synopses/cp65syn.htm
which has been compiled for the Australian National Health and Medical
Research Council. There is a chapter in the first of the publications
listed there (How to Review the Evidence: Systematic Identification and
Review of the Scientific Literature) on diagnostic tests.
There are also documents about how to use the evidence to convince your
consumers that what you are proposing is the right thing to do - I haven't
read these but it sounds like a Good Thing.
