Our pharmacy supplies flavoured glucose solution;
(75g anhydrous glucose per 300mL).
Our patients generally tolerate this well.
We are not happy with 'glucose polymer' as the
exact composition is uncertain; I believe that
Lucozade contains a mixture of glucose polymers
and possibly fructose and other sugars.
The composition may be changed at any time by the
manufacturers without warning.
I would be interested to know if anyone has done
a detailed analysis of these sugars.
