I have just sent out a draft business case for the project below. If
any UK lab or LIMS/Comms supplier would like a copy and a
chance to join the project please email me and one will follow. I've
taken this route to avoid flooding mailbase with a large file which
woudl be of little interest outside the UK.

Enclosed is the draft business case for Lab to Lab coms project for
the Pathology Modernisation fund.
If you wish to be involved in this bid can you-
1. Read the BC and the XL spreadsheet and send any comments
to Craig Webster <[log in to unmask]> by close of play on the
8TH JUNE.
2. Positively indicate your willingness to take part.
3. Endeavour to get an official OK from you Trust/Company.
4. Send to Craig the name and contact details of a formal contact
point.
Note that I am still in negotiation over Capital Charges. It may be
that we can get these covered centrally. The worst case is that
participating Trusts may need to cover their share. If 20 Trusts (out
of 200) take part then each will have to find £5k over 5 years - ie
£1k each year. Given the size of the savings this shouldn't break
the bank.
Any other comments can be directed to me.
Thanks for your help and support.
Best wishes
Rick Jones
