It's not just patients who do this. After a reply I made some
time ago about Muschausen Disease by Proxy I received an e-
mail from a man who asked me for more information about my
brush with this diagnosis. I knew the name, asked around and
found that he was a freelance journalist. I replied saying that I
knew he was a journalist and was not prepared to discuss it
further. He wrote a very pleasant reply and I was not contacted
again. But be warned!
