Understanding government policies and initiatives in relation to post
compulsory education
Friday 24 March 2000

Location - Greenwich Maritime Site, University of Greenwich
Fee - £90
Organised by - The School of Post Compulsory Education and Training
(PCET)
Universities and colleges have undergone substantial change during
the last decade and it is often difficult to 'see the wood for the
trees'. It helps, therefore, to take time out to reflect on what is
actually happening in your institution as well as in the post
compulsory education sector generally. This seminar will provide you
with the opportunity to learn more about recent and impending
government policies, initiatives and curriculum developments, such as
the University for Industry, Learning Accounts and Widening
Participation.
You will learn to
1) understand recent policies and government initiatives
2) recognise their significance in relation to your own work
3) appreciate the impact for your institution
To book a place, please phone Arnie Rush in the PCET office on 0181
