Dear Chris,
Thanks for puting the record straight on the bronze
hoards
As you know I am only an ameture archaeologist and
must rely on advice and information given by people
like yourself.
As regards who did the actual analysis I do not know
because I have had no feedback since the work was done
but The Hoards were delivered to Ronnie and I
personally collected them from him at New Burlington
Street London. So "via" Ronnie would be acurate.
He also informed me that they were fairly common
hoards often hidden by or for the travelling Smith or
Smelter until next time round.
Perhaps the small pieces of bronze slag were formed
during the smithing process.
Kindliest regards
Pat Adkins.
