Hi Alison,
Our Acquisitions Librarian would like to see the currency symbol
changed to sterling rather than dollar.
She would also like the Status section to describe the book as
received but not paid which would be useful for donations and items
received before the invoice.
Another query is regarding the OPAC. There is some abiguity
regarding starting a new search.
At the moment the options are 'start over' or 'another search' - people
sometimes think these are the same thing.
I feel it could be a bit more specific ie 'another keyword search' etc.
I must confess I have had little time to look into these to see if we can
do anything about it ourselves as I'm away on leave tomorrow.
If you have any further queries, etc please get back to me and I'll
reply once I'm back.
Many thanks
Colin

Attention Systems Coordinators at all European Innovative sites
At the forthcoming AGM and conference in Liverpool in September we are
hoping to have a session on improving the way European users can submit
Enhancement requests to Innovative, but if we want to submit requests as a
Group for consideration for next year, they have to be in before the
conference. I therefore ask Systems Coordinators to select up to 4
enhancement requests from their site (if possible specifically referring to
European issues) and forward them to me by email by 30th June 2000.
Please express your requests as clearly as you possibly can and be sure
1) that the request is not a facility already available
2) that you can suggest where it should fit into the User Manual -
Innovative will not consider a request if you do not do this.
I and the Committee will then collate the requests and prepare them for
submission. You may (indeed should!) also use the IUG Enhancements channel
(see their website) and also make individual Enhancements requests direct to
Inovative, but we hope that by batching the most popular requests from
Europe they will stand more chance of consideration.
N.B. Please submit through your Systems Coordinator, NOT individually.
I look forward to receiving them. I will be away from my email between 8th
and 25th June, but send them anyway and I will deal with them all on my
return. If you have any queries, please get in touch with any member of the
Committee.
Alison
