We upgraded to Rel. 2000 on 5 Jan, from tape.
The process failed to complete, but III completed it for us overnight.
Time taken was about two and three quarter hours for prepare and commit
phases together.
We were anxious to do it soon because our interlibrary loan Filled file
had reached its limit of 10,000 records and we were unable to use it or
export from it, and Rel. 2000 was supposed to cure the problem
Unfortunately, it didn't, so we had a supplementary call to III afterward
to sort that bit out.
As I have said here before, I think, we would never try an upgrade during
term time as our experiences have been somewhat patchy over several
upgrades
