Has anyone managed to maniuplate their days closed and hours open to work
properly for hourly loans weekend/bank holiday issues?
For example, we were open on Monday (1st May) but wanted any Short Loan books
issued on Friday afternoon, Saturday, and Monday to be issued to 10 on Tuesday.
So I had 1st May as being a closed day in the Days Closed table. This worked on
Friday, with issues skipping Monday and going to Tuesday. But any actually
issued ON MONDAY were just being issued for the normal 5 hours period, with
staff having to override the due date each time. This happens every Saturday
too, with staff having to override to issue to Monday. It'sd almost as if, on
the Friday Innopac looks at the Days Closed, sees the relevant closed days, and
issues to 1 hr into the next open day (as it should) but if you actually ISSUE
anything on the closed day Innopac ignores the fact that it's a closed day, and
acts as if it wasn't, using the normal loan period.
The Release 2000 manual (record 32997) says that it shouldn't happen with the
way I've set it up. Their example is exactly what I WANT to happen, but can't
get to happen! Am I doing something wrong, or have others made it work in which
case it might be a glitch on our system?
