Based in London. Salary c30,000UKP, plus 2,000UKP London weighting.
Forum for the Future is a new generation charity set up by Paul Ekins,
Sara Parkin and Jonathon Porritt. It aims to accelerate progress
towards a sustainable society by taking a distinctive solutions-oriented
and partnership-based approach.
FftF seeks a Director for their Education and Learning Programme (ELP),
a new post which unites the path-breaking Masters level Leadership for
Sustainable Development Scholarship Programme with the Higher Education
Partnership scheme, and a number of associated projects, research and
consultancy activities that are geared to innovative sustainability
learning initiatives. This post offers the opportunity to work at
policy and operational level in an exciting, pioneering and influential
organisation.
FftF is looking for someone who is energetic and innovative, with a
solid background in the eduction (higher/continuing/professional) sector
and, ideally, a knowledge of sustainability. You should also be able to
give evidence of successful management experience. As a member of the
Forum's Senior Management Team, you will share responsibility for the
direction and management of the Forum as a whole. You will report to
Sara Parkin and be responsible for at least 4 staff and a number of
consultants.
