Thanks Leona,
I checked the website and the JISC DIKTAT on
http://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/docs/transition.htm
Nowhere does it say why they are taking over Mailbase! The language used
has a Dalek like ring. (You shall Obey). Any committee who can organise such
a surprise raid - I think it used to be called in the 20th century a fait
accompli - on a deliberately chosen unsuspecting quiet weekend is surely
deserving of more important missions. The FBI might be in touch especially
when they have taken note of the JISC logo: The world pinned on a hub cap.
There is no need to move. Everyone just stay at your desks. And take orders.

Strange thing language. How it tells you so much about the apparatchik.
